Question 7- Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Question 7
Throughout the course we worked well as a team and everything went smoothly and to plan. To show how our skills have developed from our prelim to our two minute opening of a film I decided to record a voice over the footage and explain where it's improved. The outcome of our film was a success and our storyboard was followed well by only adding a few different shots to create a wider variety of shots and look more interesting. I have learnt a lot during the editing and filming process from using the software and hardware, to getting the continuity smooth and controlled.

Question 6- What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Question 6
Throughout the course I have used a variety of equipment and technology in order to make my final product. My knowledge on certain software and equipment has improved massively. Using hardware technology to software technology my film was made, edited and presented to what I feel as a high standard.
We used a Sony Cyber-Shot camcorder to film our film, we used the same camera throughout the whole of the film to keep the pixels the same and prevent any noise. The camera was really good and easy to used and captured a nice clear and crisp image. The camera was held by Ellie throughout film as I directed the majority, her hand was steady therefore the shots were clear, however we did experiment with a tri-pod however we it wasn't giving us the exact angle we wanted therefore we decided just to use our own hands.
We used IMovie to edit our video, this software was very difficult to use at the start of the course because I had not used this software before. however after experimenting with the software, our video was edited to a high standard. We were able to use Apple Macs which allowed us to have access to this software. For our music we downloaded non-copy righted music and created our own sounds, these were imported onto the mac and then added to the film.
I used photoshop to create the title page for our film. I also take Photography which has allowed me to learn these skills. I used a photograph of the female actor and within photoshop I made her eyes white, added longer eye lashes, added eye liner to make her eyes darker and made her eyebrows look as if they are frowning. I then used photoshop as a base to add the blood and writing into as well to get the final outcome. I believe this title is effective and that wouldn't have been the case if I didn't know how to use photoshop before.
When in the Bunker we used torches to create the lighting. The audience would aware that the bunker would be dark anyway therefore to make the lighting look naturalistic we gave the actors the torches. Giving the actors the torches allowed the inside of the bunker to light up as well as looking natural. Despite todays technology being more advance we still had to use torches and not our phones due to the storyline/ year set of our film.

Question 4- Who would be the audience for your media product?
Question 4
I have previously discussed my target audience here.
We have stuck to our original target audience because we believe this will give us the best way to advertise our film to make it a success. We have used our target audience research to work out the amount of cast we should use as well as location and story line.
